Event Details

In this workshop the presenters will share how they are utilizing Trello for homeschooling and using the Scrum framework to raise a future Agilest (possibly a Scrum Master). It is never too early to start being and using agile!!

Learning outcomes
Participants will learn how agility is being taught to a child using Trello and Scrum and be able to incorporate some of the teaching techniques presented to assist their child(ren) into becoming future Agilest.

Andrea Pratt-Smith
Andrea Pratt-Smith is the Founder & Creative Project Manager at Creative Minds Project
Development & Consultation LLC. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). She holds several additional professional certifications and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of the Bahamas in Management Information Systems.
She is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), PMI’s South Florida and Atlanta Chapters, Scrum Alliance, South Florida Agile Association, CompTIA and a member of the Bahamas National Society of Youth Practitioners.
Andrea served as Scrum Master and Developer on the Scrum Team that developed the SMRT App (Scrum Mobile Resource Tool) for the South Florida Agile Association and Transformation Experts based in Miami, Florida.
In June 2021, Andrea launched the Bahamas Project Management Community (BPMC) to serve as a central repository for project managers and Agile practitioners to have an outlet for networking, training, personal and professional development. The BPMC has bi-weekly virtual meetups on the second and fourth Thursday every month and features both local
and international speakers.
Andrea is a strong proponent of continuous learning and strives to become the best version of herself daily. In additional to being a self-proclaimed professional student, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family and friends, public speaking, networking, and empowering others.

Victoria R. Smith
Victoria R. Smith is a shy, soon to be 10-year old Kidpreneur (Young Entrepreneur) who started her business, Sweet Tooth, a few months ago. Victoria enjoyed attending Temple Christian Elementary School in Nassau, Bahamas with her friends and classmates until the Covid-19 pandemic reached the shores of The Bahamas and schools were closed. Given the uncertainty of the pandemic, her mother decided to start homeschooling. Victoria successfully completed the fourth grade with honors and is now in the 5th grade. This school year, her mother decided to elevate her curriculum by incorporating not only entrepreneurship classes but also a Trello board and Scrum.
